Imperial Visual widens scope
Imperial Visual Communications, New Berlin, WI, 44 employees, moved from a 19,000-sq.ft. facility to a 40,000-sq.ft. operation. Along with the move, the company added a new 6-color, 40” Komori press with inline aqueous coating. The company also added: remote proofing; high-speed diecutting with foil stamping capabilities; a 64” high-resolution indoor/outdoor printer; custom configured automated punch inserter; increased selection of printing substrates; a 54” computerized cutter with a jogging table; an additional high-speed shrink wrapper; Artworks Nexus workflow upgrades; a Fuji CTP platesetter, a client extranet; and second order Stochastic screening “We took the printing business and said ‘let’s get rid of the old ways of doing things.’ That philosophy brought about the move and led to the expansion,” says Bob Stormowski, Imperial’s owner. “The move is a big step for us,” he adds, “but it is one that will benefit our customers across the U.S., as well as our employees.”
